Could you describe your career path in a few words?
I have over 30 years of professional experience across asset management, private banking, and life insurance. The majority of my career was spent at Neuflize OBC, the French private banking subsidiary of the Dutch group ABN AMRO. After holding a variety of positions in asset management, I led the development and organisation of both the discretionary portfolio management and advisory offerings as well as their respective teams, within the private bank. Returning to asset management, I was appointed Co-Head of the group’s principal subsidiary in this business. In 2015, I transitioned to the life insurance sector, taking on the role of CEO of Neuflize Vie, Neuflize OBC’s life insurance company, specialising in high-end life insurance for private banking clients. Neuflize Vie was acquired by BNP Paribas Cardif in 2024 and merged in 2025. I then took the opportunity to join Cardif Lux Vie, as CEO, assuming my responsibilities on April 2026.
"The market's greatest opportunity lies in the acceleration of its growth."
How are the needs of your clients evolving?
The Luxembourg life insurance market is currently experiencing a strong growth and is becoming an important component of wealth allocation strategies for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. As a natural consequence, clients’ expectations regarding service quality—and, in particular, the speed and efficiency of transaction processing—continue to rise. To meet these evolving expectations, Luxembourg life insurers must invest significantly in both technology and operational processes, leveraging the latest advances in artificial intelligence, while ensuring that the risks associated with these new technologies are effectively managed and while also strengthening their teams. At the same time, the level of expertise and professional qualifications required across the industry continues to increase.
What challenges and opportunities do you see?
The principal challenges facing the Luxembourg life insurance market today is its ability to absorb the high volume of new subscriptions. As the market continues to expand, insurers must ensure that they have the operational capacity, technology, and expertise required to maintain the high standards of service that clients expect. At the same time, the market’s greatest opportunity lies in the acceleration of its growth. From now on, assets in Luxembourg life insurance represent very significant amounts, over 260 billion euros*, and it is probably that after years of “pump priming”, growth will become stronger and more structural.
